Yuri Rudenko was selected for the trimestrial Rule of Law course at the Open University of Reforms, a training center at the Reanimation Package of Reforms (RPR). The RPR is a civic platform that unites leading NGOs and experts, and serves as a coordination center for development and implementation of key reforms in Ukraine.
The mission of RPR is to unite professionals for lobbyism of reforms that would allow development of independent, democratic, law-governed, strong and prestigious state with wealthy population and equal opportunities for everyone.
The implementation of key reforms that would strengthen open society, government's accountability, new relations between citizens and the state, security and prosperity of Ukrainian people, are among the key goals of the RPR.
The experts of the RPR have developed or amended about 60 draft laws, including Amendments to the Law of Ukraine on Access to Public Information, Law on Public Procurement, Law on Restoration of Trust to the Judicial System (re lustration of judges), Law on the Prosecutor’s Office, Law on Fighting against Corruption etc.
The Rule of Law course was designed for Ukrainian lawyers, who strive for elaboration and implementation of reforms in the Ukrainian legislation. Studying at the Open University of Reforms will help Mr. Rudenko make his own contribution into the regulatory reform in Ukraine.
